Bright tobacco is the highest valued of the three grades: bright, second and dull. The grades are associated with the parts of the plant. Bright leaves are taken from the middle, second leaves come from the bottom, and dull leaves - the shortest - come from the top. Maryland type-32 tobacco is known for slow and even burning.
