University of Maryland Gets New Solar Panels

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland's Severn Building will soon be outfitted with one of the largest installations of solar panels in the state, says the university's Office of Sustainability.

 

As part of the University of Maryland's plan to reach zero carbon emissions by 2050, the newly purchased building on Greenbelt Road will have 2,600 solar panels installed.
