Hagerstown Area Leads State in Population Growth

The population of the The Hagerstown-Martinsburg, W. Va., metro area grew by 1.9 percent from July 2006 through July 2007, making Maryland's portion of it the fastest-growing in the state, according to U.S. Census Bureau data. That metro area includes Washington County in Maryland, as well as Morgan and Berkeley counties in West Virginia.
