Adrianne Flynn directs the Washington bureau for the college's Capital News Service. Formerly a Washington correspondent for the Arizona Republic, where she covered U.S. Sen. John McCain, she also worked as a reporter for The Washington Times, where she covered Mayor Marion Barry's return, and for The Dayton (Ohio) Daily News, where she covered serial murderer Jeffrey Dahmer and the 11-day Lucasville, Ohio, prison riot. She started her career at the Mesa Tribune in Arizona.c


Jessica Harper Jessica Harper, 28, is a graduate student at the University of Maryland, College Park, who covers health and medicine. She has worked as a feature writer for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, a researcher for Viewpoint -- an NBC 4 Washington public affairs program -- and a freelance reporter for NBC4.com and Howard University's The Hilltop. Steve Kilar Steve Kilar, 27, is a graduate student at the University of Maryland, College Park, who covers the census and immigration. He has shot and produced news videos for The Baltimore Sun and his text and multimedia reporting has been published by print and online outlets including ChicagoTribune.com, LATimes.com, the Washington Blade, The (Md.) Daily Record and The Maryland Independent. Steve received a law degree from the University of Michigan and worked as a lawyer in New York City. Laura Lee Laura Lee is a graduate student at the University of Maryland, College Park, covering politics. She has freelanced for Patch.com, The Prince George's Sentinel and The Washington Blade.
