Urban Grain Bin Brings Alternative Heating Source

Mt. Rainier is now home to an urban grain bin, which houses shelled feed corn to fuel corn-burning stoves for heating. The Protect Our Planet home heating cooperative, along with a sister co-op in Takoma Park, provides access to this fuel for nearly 70 area homes.
