J.M. Samuel, head of J.M. Samuel & Co., works for the buyers, shipping tobacco out of Maryland's warehouses to processing plants in North Carolina and Virginia. He's been coming to Maryland to do this work for 26 years. But with the state tobacco industry in decline, Samuel says he won't be coming here anymore, but will continue to work in other states.
