Nationals Fans Brave Cold, Wet Conditions on Opening Day

WASHINGTON - The Nationals opened up the Major League Baseball season with a loss to the Atlanta Braves on Thursday. Despite the rain, 39,000 fans packed into Nationals Park.

 

Fans said the offseason acquisitions of multiple high-profile players gave them hope for the new season. But they were disappointed when the Nats fell 2-0.
