Prince George's County Executive, Wife, Arrested on Federal Charges

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - An FBI investigation of corruption in Prince George's County became public with the arrests of then- County Executive Jack Johnson and his wife, Leslie Johnson, and quickly mushroomed to ensnare nine others, including three county police officers. The police officers were charged in cases involving conspiracy to drug traffic, unlawful possession of firearms and conspiracy to traffic in untaxed alcohol and cigarettes.

 

 

An eight-week jury trial for several of those charged - Amir Miljkovic, Amrik Melhi, Ravinder Melhi, Sgt. Richard Delabrer and Jose Moreno - is expected to begin Jan. 18.
