O'Malley Prepares for Ehrlich Rematch

WASHINGTON - Democratic Gov. Martin O'Malley says he has a tough general election battle ahead against former Republican governor Bob Ehrlich, who lost the seat to O'Malley in 2006.
On primary election night, O'Malley looked forward to the face-off and discussed the progress he says Maryland has made during his term. Violent crime is down, he said, and public schools have made improvements recognized by experts nationwide.
