Rich-County, Poor-County Gap Widens in Maryland

 

Maryland is one of three states to show increasing inequality in income distribution, the Census Bureau reports.

The majority of the 12,000 temporary census jobs created in Maryland expired in July and August, which could mean an uptick for Maryland's 7.1 percent unemployment rate.

The federal government reminds Americans to get their census forms in to avoid having census takers show up at their doors.
