COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Students from multiple disciplines across the University of Maryland campus are building a solar home that will be displayed in Washington, D.C., in October, in a contest sponsored by the Department of Energy.
The WaterShed house, Maryland's entry into the Solar Decathlon, focuses on energy-efficient, cost-effective living and water conservation. Students plan to work all summer so the house will be completed in September.
